Costa Rica is a tropical country located between two oceans.
The complex geography gives rise to varied weather conditions and there are areas where there are both dry tropical forests and swamps. In general, temperatures range between 14 and 22 degrees Centigrade.
Although the country does not have well-defined seasons and the climate in each region remains relatively stable throughout the year, there are slight changes depending on whether it is "summer" (the dry season) or "winter" (the rainy season).
"Summertime" tends to be from December to April and "wintertime" is from May to November.
